Position: Loan Administrative Assistant
This position will be primarily responsible for supporting the Commercial, Consumer, and Real Estate loan functions including working with Loan Operations & Credit Administration to execute day-to-day loan operation needs, ensuring accurate loan payment processing, loan file maintenance, and interaction with loan customers.
Title of Supervisor: Loan Operations Manager
Primary Duties and/or Responsibilities:
- Tickler processing and monitoring
- Track for post-closing needs (insurance, filed mortgages, lien cards, final title policies)
- Sort & Process incoming loan related mail
- Perform UCC searches and complete related filings
- Internal GL & Account balancing
- Periodic loan reporting
- Process Denied & Withdrawn loans
- Process escrow payments, disbursements, and annual analysis
- Coordinate loan participation support for documents, payments, balancing, etc
- FHLB pledging
- Process paid loans
- Loan checkbacks
- Loan maintenance
Secondary Duties:
- Order underwriting needs (title work, appraisals, credit bureaus, flood certs)
- Consumer, Mortgage, Commercial and Agricultural Loan documentation preparation
- Book loans
- Process advances and payments
- FHLB P&I and T&I daily and monthly reconciling
- Prepare loan files for quality control, internal and external audits
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of bank loan terms and procedures
- Strong mathematical skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize as needed
- Proficient with computers and related software such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
Desired Experience
- Three years minimum bank experience in loan administration
- Credit file experience
- Experience in processing credit transactions
- Loan closing experience
